Privacy

Puplify is a desktop app. Your recordings, transcripts and account sign-ins stay on your computer. There is no Puplify server and no Puplify account.

What Puplify keeps on your computer

• Transcripts you record, saved in Puplify's data folder until you delete them.
• Settings, including any API keys you enter.
• Sign-in tokens for the services you connect, stored in Puplify's settings folder (readable only by your user on Linux and macOS). Disconnecting an account deletes its token.

Audio is processed while you record and is not kept. With the default local engine, nothing about a recording leaves your computer unless you turn on a destination.

To notice calls, Puplify checks every few seconds whether another app is using your microphone, and which one, as reported by your operating system. It does not listen to the microphone for this, and the result never leaves your computer.

When data leaves your computer

Only where you send it:

• Destinations you turn on (OneDrive, Google Drive, Dropbox, Notion, a folder, a webhook) receive finished transcripts, directly from your computer.
• Cloud transcription (Deepgram, off by default) receives the meeting audio while you record, under Deepgram's own privacy policy.
• Model downloads fetch speech models from Hugging Face when you choose to download one.
• Calendar links you add are downloaded every minute, directly from the server they point to (usually Google or Microsoft), to read upcoming meetings. Nothing is sent back.

Connected accounts

Sign-in happens in your browser on the provider's own page. Puplify never sees your password. It uses the access you grant only for these purposes:

• Microsoft: write transcripts to OneDrive (Files.ReadWrite), read your Outlook calendar to notice when an online meeting starts (Calendars.Read), and show which account is connected (User.Read).
• Google: create and update transcript files in Google Drive. Puplify can only see files it created itself (drive.file). It also reads your Google Calendar to notice when an online meeting starts (calendar.readonly), and shows which account is connected (email).
• Dropbox: write transcripts to your Dropbox (files.content.write) and show which account is connected (account_info.read).

Calendar access is read-only. Puplify looks at event titles, times and meeting links on your computer to start and name recordings, and never changes your calendar.

Google user data

Puplify's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Data from your Google account is used only to provide the features above, on your computer. It is not transferred to Puplify or anyone else, not used for advertising, not used to train AI models, and not read by people.

This website

puplify.com sets no cookies and runs no analytics. It is served by Cloudflare, which processes requests to deliver the site. Download buttons redirect to GitHub, where the files are hosted.

Your choices

• Disconnect any account in Settings → Accounts. You can also revoke Puplify's access from your Microsoft, Google or Dropbox account settings.
• Delete transcripts in the app, or delete Puplify's data folder to remove everything.
